1959 Baldwin Model L

SOLD

This piano hails from Baldwin's heyday and with its off-beat mid-century finish makes me think of Dave Brubeck (himself an avid aficionado of Baldwin).

I marvel at the condition of the original soundboard and find its tone to be an ideal blend of robustness and warmth.

Regarding the action, I personally feel like a 10% better pianist at this instrument than most that I play. I'll take it!

HIGHLIGHTS:

-Completely restrung, using GC bass strings, Paulello O-type wire for tenor break, and Mapes International Gold for the remaining treble.

-Fully rebuild action: WNG wippens and hammer shanks.

-New Ronsen Weickert felt hammers
